Online casinos are showing true generosity by contributing to the fundraising efforts of this year’s GIGSE, to be held in Montreal. The latest online casinos to open their purse strings are Party Gaming and Bet on Sports. This year’s Global Interactive Gaming and Expo Summit (GIGSE), to be held May 16-18 in Montreal, Canada, is once again appealing to online casinos and gambling companies to open their hearts (and purses) and contribute towards the fundraising project that has become a GIGSE tradition. Every year, hundreds of representatives of online casinos and software providers meet to discuss the latest developments in the online gaming world at the GIGSE summit. This year is no exception as over 2000 participants are set to meet in Montreal to discuss legislation, trends and the future of online casinos.

This year, as in previous years, GIGSE proposes that participating online casinos contribute generously towards its fundraising project. Funds donated by online casinos to this year’s project will be passed on to Gordon House Association, a British based residence that provides support to gamblers who are in the throes of recovering from gambling addiction. The latest donations by online casinos came from Party Gaming ($25,000) and Bet on Sports ($10,000). This boosts the GIGSE fundraising coffers to $50,000.

Online casinos and the gambling industry at large usually get a lot of slack from politicians and religious organizations. By donating to a worthy cause, online casinos might get the anti-gambling lobby to stop bad-mouthing them for a moment and see that good things can come out of online gambling.
